Alice Polka Dot Dress
Chanderi is a traditional fabric characterized by its lightweight, sheer texture and fine luxurious feel. This special fabric was traditionally made by weaving in silk and or golden zariwith the cotton yearn that results in the creation of the shimmering texture. The fabric borrowed its name from the small town Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh, Northern India where traditional weavers practice the art of producing textured saris in cotton and silk decorated with dine zari work.
Hand wash is recommended. Use mild detergent without bleach for washing and wash in cold water. Iron on silk setting.
The natural dyes used to dye these soft amazing fabrics are derived from leaves, bark, fruits and flowers. The shades and intensity of the colors depends on the dye material, water salinity and the mordants. Color matching is a tough task sometimes, so there may be a 10-20% shade variation from each batch of dyeing the fabrics.
We highly recommend washing the clothes in a mild detergent, preferably a natural detergent and dry in shade only.
